Ventnor, NJ 08406 Hardwood floor refinishing, these are the pictures of the kitchen sanded raw and refinished with a satin polyurethane .
This is a hardwood floor installation in Ventnor, NJ 08406 after Hurricane Sandy. This client was one of the many victims of hurricane Sandy and she hired us to come in and install a new hardwood floor, she chose a raw red oak floor that we installed then refinished in a golden pecan stain with a satin polyurethane. The hardwood floors in the rest of the house were cupping, that is where the sides of each board become raised. We explained to her that the wood needed time to dry out and that she needed a dehumidifier on to help pull out the moisture. When a wood floor is cupping it is trying to get away from moisture. Once the floors were ready we went into her home and installed her new hardwood floor. When installing a new hardwood floor the floor should be in the house 3 to 5 days prior to the install so it can acclimate to it's environment. The hardwood floor restoration was ready to go in the rest of the house. Originally the floors were stained with a brown stain which to me really made the rooms look small. My suggestion to the home owner was to sand all the floors and apply a stain called golden pecan with a satin polyurethane finish. She loved my idea and put her faith in our vision this is the before and after pictures of her kitchen.
When we were ready to begin her job she had rented a U-haul truck and had all of her furniture stored in it while we were doing her floors. The client actually had a vacation planned the week we were doing her job, so while she was away she got emails and pictures everyday of the whole process. I do this with a lot of our clients especially down here at the Shore, since this is their second home.
As you can see in all of the before and after pictures the hardwood floor refinishing came out beautiful and we have another thrilled client.
