Restoring hardwood floors Somers Point, NJ 08244

The pictures you see above are the office in this home in Somers Point, NJ 08244 once all repairs were done the floor was sanded raw and a stain called special walnut was applied and the 1st coat of polyurethane. The top picture is when the floor had dried to a satin finish and then we applied our final coat to this wood floor restoration project in Somers Point, NJ 08244. As you can see by the pictures you can restore a old hardwood floor and have it come out beautiful!

This client called us and had a very old pine floor that she wanted to keep the original floor without having to have to replace it. There were a lot of repairs that needed to be done on this floor and after conferring on this floor with the client, myself and Joe the Owner of Extreme Floor Care we all decided that the floor was salvageable. We actually took boards out of a bedroom that they were going to carpet to make repairs on the old pine floors. The plan we came up with was do the repairs then sand the floor, stain the floor a special walnut and apply 2 coats of 100% oil based polyurethane.

Day one we started this floor by doing the repairs and then sanding the floor 3 times. Once the floor was ready we stained the floor with special walnut and had to leave for the day. The second day we came back and applied our first coat of polyurethane then we had to leave until the next day. On the third day we went back to the job site and screened the floor which is preparing the last coat to accept the next coat and applied our final coat.

This client liked the fact that the owner of Extreme Floor Care was actually the one that does the hardwood floor refinishing because she wanted it repaired and refinished properly. The plan we came up with to use the old pine floor saved them a fortune because to buy reclaimed right now is extremely expensive and if we used new pine flooring there would have been a huge difference in the color tone of the old versus new.
