Pet stains on hardwood floor
The pictures you see above are a hardwood floor that once we pulled the carpet up had some serious pet stains. These pictures show you the before and after the hardwood floor refinishing was complete. We did do a special bleaching process on this hardwood floor.
This is a client that we have done a lot of work for. We have refinished their hardwood floors in Ocean City, 08226 we have also refinished his Mother in Laws home in Moorestown, NJ 08057, and now wanted to hire us to do their wood floor refinishing at their home in Cherry Hill, NJ 08034. I first went to there home to provide our FREE in home estimate and even though we have done a ton of work for them already I went over the step by step process that we do. At the end of the estimate we decided on staining the living room, staircase and 2nd floor hallway in golden oak and the polyurethane they chose was a satin finish. They had hardwood floors in the dining room and foyer that had been uncovered for years and they finally decided to have the carpet in the living room, staircase and 2nd floor hallway removed since they had the same flooring under the carpet. We went over some different stain options that would match best with their existing floors and that's how we chose golden oak. The first day we arrived we removed all the carpet, padding and tacking. In the living room we came across some very bad pet stains which I let the client know, they were away in Florida while we were doing this job. We did our first sand on the floor and treated the pet stains with a bleaching process, and the results were amazing. The pet stains were so bad it was shocking that they all came out!  The floors get 3 sands and the staircase was sanded raw. Once everything was perfect we applied the golden oak stain and left for the day. On day 2 we arrived back at their home and applied their first coat of polyurethane, on day 3 we arrived and screened the floors, which prepares the last coat to accept the next coat, we also installed all the quarter round that was also stained and polyurethaned to match the floor, then applied our last coat. The polyurethane we use is called Dura seal and is a superior product. It is a 100% oil based polyurethane and the smell dissipates in about 2 days. You can walk on the floors the day after the job is complete, no furniture back for 72 hours because even though the polyurethane is dry it takes 72 hours to cure.
You will see in all of these pictures their red oak floors came out beautiful. This job came out great and our client was very happy with the outcome.
