Hardwood floor refinishing Cape May, NJ 08204
The pictures you see above are one of the 4 bedrooms we did a hardwood floor refinishing on, the one picture is the before and the other is the floor sanded raw. Keep looking at the following articles for the after pictures.
This is a pine floor that we did a hardwood floor restoration on for a client that found us on Angie's list. This is their summer home which they have updated everything but the floors on the second floor. This pine floor really needed a hardwood floor refinishing.
I had first gone to the home to provide a free in home estimate and gone over all of the issues with the floor and what their options were. They hired us to do their hardwood floor refinishing and decided to do a natural seal coat and went with a satin 100% oil based polyurethane.
The day we started their hardwood floor refinishing the floor was sanded 3 times, a hard, medium and then a fine sand. Once the floors were ready we applied a natural seal coat and about an hour later we applied our first coat of 100% oil based polyurethane. We like this polyurethane, the brand name is Dura Seal, because the smell dissipates in about 2 days. If we used a poly blend the odor would linger in your home for quite some time. Some contractors only use water base polyurethane, which we don't like on oak or pine floors, the reason contractors use this is because it gets them in and out of your job faster. We came back the next day and screened the floors, which is preparing the last coat to accept the next coat and applied the final coat to the floor.
You will see in all of these pictures their pine floors came out beautiful. This job came out great and our client was very happy with the outcome. We love making sure all of our clients are thrilled with their jobs because we take great pride in our work.
